Context

Diverse representation among corporate leaders is essential for a thriving and equitable economy. American businesses shape our communities, influence national policy, and impact millions of lives. We believe that leadership teams should reflect the broad spectrum of America by ethnicity, life experience, background, and beliefs—not only to honor our nation’s values but also to drive innovation, resilience, and trust. Excluding voices based on heritage or perspective undermines the progress and unity of our society.

Petition Statement

We call for active encouragement—and where possible, policy change—so that corporate boards and executive teams represent America’s diversity of ethnicity, life experience/background, and beliefs. This should not be a symbolic gesture, but a substantive commitment to:

  • transparent recruitment, selection, and promotion processes;
  • measurable diversity and inclusion benchmarks;
  • regular public reporting on leadership composition; and
  • genuine dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders.

This movement must not be paused except by

  • a) broad consensus that U.S. corporations truly and transparently reflect our diverse population, and
  • b) clear, ongoing public support for equitable representation at the highest levels.
